Caleb Georges
Viola
Caleb Georges, a distinguished violist from St. Lucia, began his musical journey at age 7 with piano before switching to viola at 13, which led him to the United States for advanced studies. He quickly gained prominence, winning major competitions such as the Douglas Wayland Chamber Music Competition (2015), Dale & Nancy Briggs Chamber Music Competition (2018), and WDAV Young Chamber Musicians Competition (2019). He also earned third prize in the 2019 senior division Sphinx Competition and performed with the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra. Caleb has collaborated with renowned ensembles like Sphinx Virtuosi and artists including the Calidore String Quartet and Imani Winds. Academically, Caleb holds a Bachelor of Music from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree from the University of Michigan. He has been a fellow at Indiana University and the Glenn Gould School, and currently performs with the Dior Quartet under the Concert Artist Guild in New York.
