Kelly Sulick

Kelly Sulick teaches at the University of Virginia and serves as Principal Flute in the Charlottesville Symphony. She earned degrees from the Peabody Conservatory, USC, and the University of Michigan. An active orchestral musician, Ms. Sulick has performed with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Ash Lawn Opera, Owensboro Symphony, Orchestra Kentucky, and the Livingston (MI) Symphony. She has also appeared as a concerto soloist with ensembles throughout the country, including the Southern Illinois Music Festival Orchestra and Ann Arbor Symphony and alongside Sir James Galway at the Kennedy Center. A champion of new music, Sulick has commissioned dozens of works for solo flute and flute with electronics and has performed with several pop and rock bands. An avid chamber musician, she is the co-founder of .thrum, a new music collective, and is a member of the EcoSono Ensemble. Her principal teachers include Marina Piccinini, Amy Porter, and Jim Walker.
