The Festival's percussionists take center stage in this program as both performers and composers. Works by Cangelosi and Guinivan alongside Handel, Brahms, Gesualdo, and others.

Brahms | Three Songs from Op. 17, for two sopranos, alto, two horns, and harp
Cangelosi | Big Hair Air Guitar, for hi-hats and tape
Gesualdo | Two Madrigals
Guinivan | Celestial Canons, for percussion trio
Crumb | “A Mountaineer’s Sad Song” and “House of the Rising Sun” for voices and
percussion quartet
Handel | Overture and arias from Hercules, for contralto, strings, oboe, and continuo
