Ari Evan

Cello

Cellist Ari Evan completed his Artist Diploma at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapelle in Belgium, under the tutelage of Gary Hoffman. During his time in Europe, Ari maintained an active performing career including solo appearances with Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia and Vienna Concert Orchestra. He also toured with the acclaimed Rolston String Quartet through Europe, Canada, and the US. Ari has performed with the world’s pre-eminent artists (such as Itzhak Perlman, Shumel Ashkenasi, Corina Belcea, Colin Carr, and Miriam Fried), as well as former members of the Cleveland and Artemis Quartets. He has premiered numerous works and worked with Esa-Pekka Salonen, John Zorn, Eric Montalbetti, and made many acclaimed recordings. He frequently appears in NYC with the Metropolis Ensemble, New York Classical Players, Music from Copland House, and Exponential Ensemble. Ari holds degrees from Northwestern University and Juilliard.
