Cecilia Duarte

Mezzo-soprano

Mezzo-soprano Cecilia Duarte has performed leading roles with Chicago Lyric Opera, San Diego Opera, El Paso Opera, NYC Opera, Minnesota Opera, San Antonio Opera, and many others. She has sung Renata in the Mariachi Opera Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, Melissa in Caccini’s Alcina, and Maria in Maria de Buenos Aires, to name a few. Duarte performs at such prestigious early music venues as Ars Lyrica Houston, Early Music Vancouver, Pacific Music Works, The Newberry Consort, The Boston Early Music Festival, Mercury Houston, the Bach Collegium San Diego, Tafelmusik, and the Kaleidoscope Vocal Ensemble with which which she performs early and contemporary music. She appears on the Grammy-Winning album Duruflé: The Complete Choral Works. Cecilia is an active promoter of Spanish language repertoire performing music through music periods, and genres. She is also a licensed Mental Health practitioner serving the arts community.
