With “a voice of rare beauty” (Seen and Heard International), countertenor Cody Bowers has garnered national award recognition from The Sullivan Foundation, Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, George London Foundation for Singers, and Rochester International Vocal Competition. He has appeared with the New York Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony, Houston Symphony, Apollo’s Fire Baroque Orchestra, and Metropolitan Opera, and will debut at Carnegie Hall in 2025 with the Oratorio Society of New York in Handel's Messiah. In previous seasons, Mr. Bowers has performed with leading opera companies in San Francisco, San Diego, Minnesota, Utah, Atlanta, St. Petersburg, Tanglewood, and Merola Opera Program. Operatic credits include a 2026 debut in the title role in Giulio Cesare in Egitto, Refugee in Dove’s Flight, Federico Garcia Lorca in Ainadamar, L’Enfant in Ravel’s L’enfant et Les Sortilèges, Orlando in Handel’s Orlando, and Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina.
