Paula Waisman
Baroque Violin
Coming from a family of musicians, Paula Waisman specialized in baroque violin from a young age with Manfredo Kraemer in Argentina. In 1998, she moved to Europe and obtained the Advanced Diploma in Baroque Violin from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, studying with Elizabeth Wallfisch. A member of Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble, Le Concert des Nations, and Harmonie Universelle, she was also a member of Elyma, Café Zimmermann, Il Complesso Barocco, Al Ayre Español, Capriccio Stravagante, Pygmalion, and Le Concert d'Astrée. Paula frequently travels to Argentina, where she maintains an active teaching schedule and directs chamber and orchestral concerts. She is the concertmaster of the Ensemble Claroscuro, with whom she recorded an album including the Double Concerto for Oboe and Violin BWV 1060 and the 5th Brandenburg Concerto, as well as pieces by Thelonious Monk arranged for baroque ensemble.
