Praised as “a magician” (New York’s WQXR) whose "brilliant sound and remarkable technical acumen shatter any stereotype of his instrument" (NY Times), Sivan Magen has been Principal Harpist of the Finnish Radio Symphony since 2017. He has appeared as a soloist across the US, South America, Europe and Israel, in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Sydney Opera House and Vienna Konzerthaus, and with orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony, and at Marlboro, Aspen, Rosendal, Kuhmo, Delft, and Jerusalem International Chamber Music festivals alongside artists such as Nobuko Imai, Shmuel Ashkenazi, Gary Hoffman, and members of the Guarneri and Juilliard Quartets. He has taught masterclasses at Juilliard, Curtis, Peabody, Paris Conservatory, London’s Royal Academy, the Aspen Music Festival and others.
