Join music historian Jason Stell for an extended lecture on Handel’s Il Trionfo prior to the finale performance. Il Trionfo is arguably Handel's first masterpiece, written in Rome in 1707 when Handel was just turning 22. He revisited the work on several occasions, but the original version (heard in Staunton) shimmers with the radiance of a young composer in full command of the oratorio medium.

Admission includes coffee, tea, and handmade Italian pastries by Giancarlo.
