Most events offer reserved, individually-selected seating; free concerts and certain recitals in spring and fall offer open, general admission seating. All concerts allow college students and active/retired military to purchase steeply discounted admission. Youth under 18 can attend all events for free!

VCA PASSPORT PROGRAM
Staunton Music Festival is thrilled to participate in the Virginia Commission for the Arts’ (VCA) Passport Program, an arts-access initiative created in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). Through the Passport Program, recipients of Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) benefits in Virginia can access discounts at participating arts and cultural organizations across the Commonwealth.
At SMF, Passport holders receive free admission to all performances. In order to redeem this discount, Passport holders simply show their WIC card at the box office when entering or contact the box office in advance.

THE BOX OFFICE
Buying online is the easiest way to get tickets. There are no additional surcharges, and you can pick your own individually reserved seats. Tickets can also be purchased by phone or at the door (when available).

SUBSCRIPTION PASSES
Three types of discounted passes are available. Buy your tickets all together and show your support any time of the year! Passes also make a great gift idea!
BAROQUEFEST PASS: Save 5% on all events presented during BaroqueFest, April 25-27, 2025 (except Special Events).
SUMMER PASS: Save 5% on the Summer festival, August 15-24, 2025 (except Special Events).
ANNUAL PASS: Save 10% on all SMF regular events presented during the calendar year (except Special Events).

All Staunton Music Festival events take place in venues of historic significance with superlative acoustics. Downtown Staunton boasts dozens of churches and the famed Blackfriars Playhouse, and many concerts offer individually reserved seating. Plan your visit! All venues are wheelchair accessible.
DISCOUNTED ADMISSION
Staunton Music Festival is happy to offer discounted admission to certain people. College students and military veterans (active and retired) save 50% on ticket purchases, and youth aged 18 and under attend all regular events for free. In addition, holders of the Public Radio MemberCard may receive 2-for-1 admission to any single event.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to high demand for seating in Tier 1, discounted admission can only be applied to seats in Tiers 2, 3, and 4. Discounts do not apply to pass purchases.
