Named a "Critic's Pick" (The Washington Post), Staunton Music Festival has been presenting acclaimed concerts and world-class musicians in Staunton's historic downtown since 1998.  Since that time the Festival has grown to become a regional and national destination for music lovers, drawn by the eclectic and original programming as well as the superlative musicianship and charm of the small city.  Today the Festival relies on the tireless efforts of its small staff, active Board of Directors, and over 100 volunteers.

From its first modest programs in 1998, Staunton Music Festival has developed into a destination event for thousands of music lovers from across the US. The story of that development helps showcase the powerful coordination of unparalleled artistry and community support that define Staunton.

The Festival is managed by an Executive Director, an Artistic Director, and a committed Board of Directors. These individuals embrace the Festival's mission and work to translate that purpose into action, bringing greater attention to the role of the arts in building Staunton's identity.

Staunton Music Festival engages over 80 acclaimed performers, composers, and music historians each season. These individuals come to Staunton from around the world, bringing with them a wealth of experience in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. Festival musicians are particularly noted for their expertise in historical performance traditions.
