Corey Shotwell

Corey Shotwell is a tenor specializing in the performance of music from the 14th-18th centuries. Recent favorite engagements include a world premiere of David Lang’s writings at Carnegie Hall in collaboration with Theatre of Voices and the Yale Voxtet, and Telemann’s Der Tag des Gerichts with Masaaki Suzuki at Lincoln Center. He has also sung with the San Diego Bach Collegium, Apollo’s Fire of Cleveland, Boston Early Music Festival, Carmel Bach Festival, and The Newberry Consort. A native of West Michigan, he most recently received his M.M.A. From the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale University. He has previously been an instructor of voice at the Cleveland Institute of Music, the College of Wooster, and Cleveland State University and now teaches privately in New Haven, CT.
