Before most full-length concerts, you are welcome to attend a free pre-concert talk hosted by guest musicians, historians, and composers. All talks begin 45 minutes before the performance and last about 20 minutes. For concerts held at Trinity Episcopal Church, talks take place in the adjoining McCracken Hall. Please ask ushers or box office staff for directions to McCracken Hall. At other venues, talks usually take place from the stage.

Coffee Talk: When in Rome...

Join musicologist Dr. Jason Stell for a discussion of George Frideric Handel's Il Trionfo, the composer's first oratorio written in Rome in 1707. The event includes coffee & tea service as well as handmade Italian desserts from Giancarlo's Fine Pastries. The ideal way to learn about the featured work in the BaroqueFest finale concert and to satisfy your palate at the same time!

Moses Memorial Lecture

Special guest Dr. Tim Carter (emeritus from UNC-Chapel Hill) speaks in detail about the finale program for August 2026, Mozart's opera Don Giovanni. Ticket includes catered meal and lecture. Held at the Music Room of BluPoint Seafood Co., just opposite Trinity Church.

* A limited number of lecture-only tickets ($15) will be sold starting August 20th.
