Composer Stefan Heucke’s catalogue of works includes over 140 works of all genres, operas, oratorios, symphonies, concertos, sacred music, chamber music and songs. His works are performed all over the world by prominent orchestras and soloists. Heucke has been composer-in-residence at several orchestras and international festivals, including at Staunton on three previous occasions. In 2017, his full-length Deutsche Messe was premiered in Berlin by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester and the Berliner Rundfunkchor on the occasion of Luther Year. In May 2024, Stefan Heucke worked as composer-in-residence at the 98th Bachfest Münster with the world premiere of the Cantata of Fire and a St Mark Passion. Immediately afterwards, his opera Michael Kohlhaas based on the novella by Heinrich von Kleist was premiered at the Regensburg Theatre. Heucke’s are published by Schott Music International. He lives as a freelance composer in Germany and Italy.
