Thomas Florio
Baritone
American baritone Thomas Florio has performed opera and chamber music across Europe with the Paris Philharmonic, Opéra national de Lorraine, Oslo Philharmonic, Staatsoper Hamburg, Bayerische Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Berlin Philharmonic, Turku Music Festival, and others. In addition to his work on stage, Thomas is a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist and maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Berlin. He also holds workshops on IFS with training programs including the Staatsoper Hamburg Opera Studio and the Royal Danish Opera Academy, where he uses the compassionate, non-pathologizing principles of IFS to help young artists turn their fiercest inner critics into their greatest artistic strengths.
