The 2024 Summer Festival closes with a single, majestic work: Bach's beloved Mass in B Minor for soloists, chorus, and orchestra. Bach completed the work a year before his death, and it is a rare complete setting of the mass ritual by a Lutheran composer. Last presented at Staunton in 2016, this performance features period instrument performances and professional vocal soloists and chorus.
