Before madness confined him to asylum, Robert Schumann composed dozens of the most adored chamber works in the repertory, including the three trio for violin, cello, and fortepiano performed in this program. Violinist Nicholas DiEugenio and cellist James Wilson are joined by Carsten Schmidt on the 1830 Graf fortepiano.
